Lee Wilkins

Leanne (Lee) Wilkins was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario and has lived in Whitby for several years. She is a mother and grandmother and loves spending time with her family. Lee is a self-proclaimed cat lady and expert on all things dog and cat nutrition, behaviour, and wellness. Over the years, Lee has become a vital resource in her community, helping pet parents give their furbabies the best food and care on the market. When she is not at the store, Lee loves to burn down the patriarchy and also go to concerts.

Travis Stephen

Travis Stephen is originally from Haliburton, Ontario, but has lived in Durham Region for several years. He graduated from Durham College in 2015 with an advanced diploma in contemporary media production. Travis has extensive expertise in dog training methods, nutrition, and natural wellness best practices. He has been in the industry since 2017. He loves gaming, trying new restaurants, and recently discovered his love for travelling. He is a dog dad to Zarya the miniature English bulldog and hopes to get a Cornish Rex cat soon.

Afrika Nieves-Bentley

Afrika Nieves-Bentley was born in Mexico and raised in Bowmanville, Ontario. She has a degree in political science and human rights from Concordia University and a diploma in PR and strategic communications from Durham College. Afrika also has lots of training in the pet care industry: she has worked at two other small independent pet food stores and two major chains; she has volunteered at SafePet Ottawa (now called The FAM Network), the Montreal SPCA Cat Annex, and the Northumberland Humane Society. She is a cat lady and an expert in guinea pig care. Afrika loves the show Brooklyn 99, which is why her cats’ names are Amy Santiago and Jake Peralta. She also has a herd of guinea pig girls named Poppy, Pipkin, Holly, and Ivy.
